Your user profile is where you manage your personal account settings in Ruddr — your name and photo, your password, two-factor authentication, and the applications you have connected to your account. To open it, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the screen (the User Profile Menu) and select My Profile (Figure 1). Figure 1 - Opening your user profile from the User Profile Menu The profile screen is organized into four sections, selectable from the menu on the left:

My Profile

The My Profile screen (Figure 2) is where you manage your personal information and formatting preferences. Figure 2 - Edit your profile information You can update the following:
  • Email — the address you use to sign in and where Ruddr sends notifications. If you need to change it, please contact your workspace administrator.
  • Name — the name shown throughout the workspace.
  • Time Zone — used to evaluate your time entries per day and to time notifications, so it is important that each member set the correct time zone. If you do not set one, your workspace’s time zone is used.
  • Time Format — choose whether hours display in clock format (1:30) or decimal format (1.5). If you do not set one, the workspace setting is used.
  • Regional Format — sets how dates, times, numbers, currencies, and percentages are displayed, following the standard for your country or region.
  • Show new features upon login — check this to receive a summary of new Ruddr features each time you log in.
  • Photo — upload a photo to personalize your account.
Click Update profile to save your changes. Whether you can edit your own name and photo depends on a workspace setting your administrator controls. Some workspaces manage member names and photos centrally — for example, to use official employee photos — in which case those fields are read-only here. See General Workspace Settings for more.

Change Password

To change the password you use to sign in, select Change Password from the menu on the left (Figure 3). Enter your Current Password, then your New Password, and repeat the new password to confirm it. Your new password must be at least 8 characters long. Click Update password to save it. Figure 3 - Change your password If you have forgotten your current password, click the I forgot my password link to reset it by email instead.

Two-factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security to your account by requiring more than just a password to sign in. Ruddr supports two methods:
  • A third-party authenticator app on your phone (such as 1Password, Authy, Google Authenticator, LastPass Authenticator, or Microsoft Authenticator), or
  • SMS (text message).
To set it up, select Two-factor Authentication from the menu on the left and click Enable Two-factor Authentication (Figure 4). Figure 4 - Enable two-factor authentication

Using an Authenticator App

In the first step of the wizard, ensure Set up using an app is selected and click Continue (Figure 5). Figure 5 - Choose your two-factor authentication method Scan the QR code shown on your screen with the authenticator app on your phone (Figure 6). If you cannot scan a QR code, click enter this text code to reveal a code you can type into the app instead. Your app will then display a 6-digit code — enter it in the box provided to verify the connection. Figure 6 - Scan the QR code and enter the verification code Once verified, Ruddr displays a set of recovery codes (Figure 7). If you lose access to your phone, you can use a recovery code to sign in. Copy these codes to a secure location — a password manager, for example, and not your phone — then check I have saved my recovery codes and click Continue. Figure 7 - Save your recovery codes A confirmation lets you know that two-factor authentication is now active (Figure 8). Click Done to finish. Figure 8 - Two-factor authentication activated

Using SMS

To receive codes by text message, select Set up using SMS in the first step and click Continue. Specify the country code and phone number where Ruddr should send your codes, then click Send Authentication Code (Figure 9). Enter the code you receive to verify the number. Figure 9 - Set up SMS two-factor authentication As with the app method, Ruddr then presents a set of recovery codes. Save them to a secure location, check I have saved my recovery codes, and click Continue to finish.

Changing or Disabling Two-factor Authentication

Once 2FA is enabled, the Two-factor Authentication screen shows your current status and method (Figure 10). From here you can select (Change) to switch methods, or click Disable Two-factor Authentication to turn it off. Disabling two-factor authentication removes your configured method and recovery codes, and you will no longer be prompted for a code when signing in. Figure 10 - Two-factor authentication status

Connected Apps

The Connected Apps screen (Figure 11) lists the applications you have authorized to use Ruddr as you — such as an AI assistant connected through the Ruddr Assistant. Each connected application can only see and change the data your security role already allows, so it can never reach anything you could not open yourself. Figure 11 - Review the applications connected to your account For each application, you can see:
  • Application — the name of the connected application.
  • Access — what the application is allowed to do on your behalf.
  • Connected — when you authorized the application.
  • Last Used — when the application last used the connection. This is a good way to spot a connection you no longer need.
To remove a connection, click the Disconnect icon at the end of its row and confirm. Disconnecting revokes the application’s access immediately — its next request to Ruddr will fail, and it would have to be authorized again to reconnect. You connect a new application from the application itself, not from this screen. For details on connecting AI applications, see Connect AI Apps to Ruddr.
