In Ruddr, you can allocate project hours to members that are not assigned to the project. You may frequently do this as a temporary way to account for backlogged hours or perhaps you want to allocate someone to a Tentative project that has yet to start. In these types of scenarios, you want to create these allocations without actually assigning them to a project.
When this done, Ruddr provides a mechanism for you to assign members to projects that otherwise have allocations to those projects. With this process, it will add any allocated members to the project as team members if not already assigned.
You can do that in two places:
- Allocation tab under Resources (Figure 1).
- Allocations tab under the project
In the Resources tab under Allocations, find your project. Select the three dots next to the project name and select "Assign Allocated Members to Project).

The second option is to update in the allocations tab under the project dashboard (Figure 2).

Once you have changed them from an allocated to assigned resource, they will also be added as a team member to the project and can code time to the project.
