Integration overview
The Expensify integration allows you to easily import expenses into Ruddr from Expensify. There are two reasons you will want to import specific expenses into Ruddr. First, you may want to charge those expenses to a project in order to have an accurate cost and profit margin for that project. Second, you may want to bill those expenses back to the client on an invoice.
If your company is already using Expensify, your team members will not have to learn any new processes in order to get those expenses into Ruddr. They simply create their expenses and expense reports in Expensify as they always have and use your company's normal submission and approval process. Those expenses can then be automatically synchronized to Ruddr, associated with the correct client project, and optionally invoiced back to the client.
Key integration benefits
The Expensify integration allows companies to seamlessly connect their expense management and professional services platforms. Below is an overview of the main features of the Expensify integration.
Sync expense reports
You can easily sync expense reports and individual expenses from Expensify to Ruddr. Note that this sync process is always unidirectional from Expensify to Ruddr. The process can be setup to automatically run on an hourly basis and you can also manual synchronization as needed.
Charge expenses toward Ruddr projects
Expenses in Expensify can be tagged with the client and project name. Project names are mapped from Expensify to Ruddr, which allows imported expenses to automatically be charged to the appropriate project in Ruddr.
Invoice expenses to clients
Once your expenses are synchronized from Expensify to Ruddr, those expenses can then be added to invoices in Ruddr. The expenses will automatically show up on the Ready to Bill screen in Ruddr and can be placed on an invoice with a single button click.
