Follow these steps to configure Ruddr as an SSO Service Provider.
- Login to Ruddr as a Workspace Admin.
- Create a new auth provider.
- Go to “Authentication” within Settings.
- Click the “New Auth Provider” button.
- Select your authentication provider.
- Select “SAML” as the authentication method.
- Optionally change the name, key and/or description.
- Name: what members will see in the login page.
- Key: can be used to select a specific provider for testing.
- Click the "Save & Close" button

Setup the Identity Provider
1. From the Authentication list page in Ruddr, expand the row context menu and select “SAML Settings”.
2. Keep this window open to setup the identity provider.
3. After setting up the identity provider, continue with the following step. - Upload the Metadata XML.
- Edit the Auth Provider.
- Upload the Metadata XML.
- Click the "Save & Close" button.
- Login with your new auth provider.
- From the Authentication list page in Ruddr, expand the row context menu and select “SAML Settings”.
- Click the link shown in the “Test Auth Provider” section.
- The login page should display a button that reads “Login with {name}”.
- Use the button to login with your auth provider.
- Set the default provider.
- From the Authentication list page in Ruddr, expand the row context menu and select “Set as default”.
- Read the confirmation and click “OK”.
- Every member will now see this auth provider’s button in the login page.
